Coming in 2024 - Find A Neurodivergent Therapist/Coach directory

We are currently developing a directory and community offer for neurodivergent therapists and coaches.

Listed practitioners will benefit from a profile on our directory page, access to our training and workshops, and our neurodivergent practitioner peer support spaces.

To apply to join, you must be:

  • A qualified counsellor/psychotherapist or coach who identifies as neurodivergent

  • Registered with a PSA-accredited professional body or coaching association

  • Hold professional indemnity insurance

  • Be able to tell us about your approach to understanding and working with neurodivergent clients

Please be aware that we do not accept ABA or PBS practitioners or similar, as we do not consider these approaches to align with a neurodiversity affirmative ethos.

Email info@free2bmetherapyservices.com to join the mailing list and get updates about our directory and community space in 2024!

  • Update Sep 2022 - we have had considerable interest in our early career opportunities and as such have had to close recruitment for 2022 for adult therapists. However, we are still open to applications for early career counsellors/play therapists working with children, young people and families.

For recent counselling and psychotherapy graduates and UKCP psychotherapists in advanced clinical training with lived experience of neurodivergence, preferably some experience of working with neurodivergence on placement, and who would like to specialise in working affirmatively with neurodivergence, we are offering some paid career development opportunities. We will provide initial training and mentoring and paid associate work within our short-term and post-diagnosis support service for an initial period of 12 months. Applicants must have completed initial training within the last 2 years, completed at least a Level 4 training course and be registered with a PSA-accredited body such as BACP, NCS or UKCP (for BACP, student or individual membership is not sufficient, must have full MBACP registered status). Your training course or placement must have included remote therapy if you wish to work remotely; if you wish to work in person, you must have identified or secured a suitable space to see your clients.

To express interest, please email info@free2bmetherapyservices.com with an up-to-date CV.

  • From January 2023, we will be offering a limited number of trainee counselling placements either in the Leeds or Sheffield areas for counselling and psychotherapy trainees with lived experience of neurodivergence.

Applicants must be on a BACP, NCS or UKCP accredited course that is eligible for student membership of a professional body. Previous experience working in a mental health or social care environment with neurodivergent populations is preferred.

Training placements are unpaid, but we will provide training and mentoring and contribute to travel and clinical supervision expenses.
